Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment), TUPE
The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations apply to businesses where they buy or sell the assets of another company or where functions are outsourced or insourced.
There are significant obligations on employers where TUPE applies and failure to meet these obligations can lead to an automatically unfair dismissal claim being filed with an Employment Tribunal against you.
